The #6 still must serve a penalty for a controlled powertrain parameters violation, the team’s third of the race.

The GTP top- five was rounded out by the #7 Porsche 963, the #5 Proton Competition Porsche 963 and the #40 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Acura ARX-06.
